Happy 5 months Birthday to KONA!

Kona turned 5 months on the 24th. We turned the corner on potty training (YAY!). He and Lucy are getting along AMAZINGLY well these days. He is less and less afraid of strangers, strange places and new dogs. I took him to Tom and Steph's this weekend and he met their three birds and one hamster :) We walked on the new beachwalk in San Clemente and he did really well. A Metrolink and an Amtrak went by and he did not react! I think he was just worn out!

So if you have gotten this far ;) here are some latest photos:

Come...sit...stay...look at me! Perfect!

Note from Puppy Day Care

Lynne at Cool Dogs had this to say about our boy this morning:

So cute, your Kona is. He is playing very well today with Kota, a Brittany Spaniel. Playbows, running, barking, having fun!

New pictures

Posing for pics
Uh...that is a pig..."eez a peeg"...

Ahhhh.... (After I showed this to Mike he said "Now we get satellite radio"!!!!!) For one second...Jeets and Kona were laying CALMLY next to each other! Gotta love Doggie Day Care!
Chewing on his ball.....Check out his double decker tooth! We are hoping that is a residual baby tooth. It's like that on both sides.....weird.

Random playing. Can you believe it!?!?!

FOR BUD - Best Boy Dog EVER

Lend Me a Pup
I will lend to you for awhile
a puppy, God said,
For you to love him while he lives
and to mourn for him when he is gone.
Maybe for twelve or fourteen years,
or maybe for two or three.
But will you, till I call him back
take care of him for me ?
He'll bring his charms to gladden you
and (should his stay be brief)
you'll always have his memories
as solace for your grief .
I cannot promise that he will stay,
since all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught below
I want this pup to learn.
I've looked the whole world over
in search of teachers true
And from the folk that crowd life's land
I have chosen you.
Now will you give him all your love
Nor think the labour vain
Nor hate me when I come to take my pup back again.
I fancied that I heard them say
"Dear Lord Thy WIll Be Done,"
For all the joys this pup will bring,
the risk of grief you'll run.
Will you shelter him with tenderness
Will you love him while you may
And for the happiness you'll know forever grateful stay.
But should I call him back
much sooner than you've planned
Please brave the bitter grief that comes
and try to understand.
If, by your love, you've managed
my wishes to achieve,
In memory of him that you've loved,
cherish every moment with your faithful bundle,
and know he loved you too.

Puppy Good Manners Graduation!

Graduation Certificate!

Graduation Photo (sorry about the quality, this is a photo of a not so great photo!)

Remember when.....this was his first week or two of Puppy School:

Here is a current (sort of, it last few weeks) size comparison, and it's totally cute that he is "hugging" Lucy's legs. Kona is 32.6 lbs today!

After Rusty left on Saturday, this is what Kona looked like!

And he STILL looked like that on Sunday!

And a random silly sleeping shot. He was sucking on his tongue!!!! Silly boy!

Poor Hannah M*nt*na!

Poor Hannah! My BFF's girlie dog broke her pinky toe chasing a weiner dog....tragedy. But check out her cute artwork on her cast. NICE!
